Re-evaluating Your Life

New Years is a time for re-evaluation of our lives. It is a time for fresh starts and new beginnings. It is a time to look closely at ourselves and evaluate what is working and what is not.

Life can be a magical experience! We truly can create our lives any way we choose. We get to choose how we want to live and with whom we want to live with. We get to choose our occupation, where we want to live and what kind of body we are going to live in.

As a weight loss coach my focus is to help people create the body of their dreams. I look at building a better body much as I would look at building a better house. In a sense your body is your house. It is where you live and if your body is old, tired, heavy and falling apart it might be time to consider a remodel.

Our bodies get to where they are now through the choices we made yesterday. We often neglect and abuse our bodies through our own lack of awareness.

Rebuilding involves care, planning and stepping into a new level of awareness.

There is no doubt what you put into your body will eventually out-picture in your physical form. But it never happens overnight!

It took time to get to where you are now. It was a process that involved daily action over a period of time.

Creating a new body involves daily action over a period of time as well, only this action needs to be taken out of a new awareness.

It is important to be aware of your choices in any given moment. Each choice you make right now eventually ads up to the body you have tomorrow. You can eat whatever you want! Nobody is stopping you! There are no rules that tell you what you can and can’t eat! Each morsel of food you put in your body is the result of your choices.

You may go on diets because diets come with a specific set of rules regarding what you can and can’t eat! The end result is usually some form of rebellion. You may become like a child testing its limits, or like a teenager seeing how many rules he can get away with breaking.

Diets don’t work because they don’t empower you to make healthy choices. You give the diet the power in your life and eventually you will want to take back that power.

If you truly want to build a slender, healthy body, you will need to use good solid building materials.

You can’t build a healthy body on processed foods! Processed foods simply don’t have the nutritional building blocks necessary to achieve your desired results.

The first step in building the body of your dreams is to throw out all processed foods! Get rid of the sugar, the flour, the pasta, enriched bread and cereals, the canned and boxed foods.

Make an agreement with yourself to choose foods that actually nourish your body. These are foods with live enzymes, vitamins and minerals in their natural form. These are the raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds with maybe a little bit of steamed vegetables, organic meats and whole grains.

You are changing your relationship with food and as you do this you change your relationship with your body.

Each moment of each day is a choice and you are the one empowered to make the choices best for your body.

If you are addicted to certain foods or have an issue with emotional or unconscious eating, then you will need to take the steps necessary to overcome the issues.

Ask yourself what is standing in the way between where you are now and where you want to be. It is only an obstacle! Obstacles can be overcome, once you decide to overcome them.

There is help available if you feel you need it. Coaching and mentorship is one of the most powerful ways to break through the barriers preventing you from realizing your dreams!

The only thing stopping you from reaching your goals this year is you! Think about it! Commit to the choices now that will create the body of your dreams tomorrow!
